Privacy Policy
Last updated June 19, 2026
Audessi is a place to rate, review, and discuss music. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info — your email address and username, and a password (stored only as a salted hash).
- Content you create — ratings, reviews, comments, lists, follows, and likes.
- Uploads — your avatar and profile banner, if you add them.
- Notification data — if you enable push notifications, the subscription token your device provides.
How we use it
To run the app: to show your profile and activity, deliver the social features (follows, comments, lists), personalize music recommendations, send notifications you opt into, and keep the community safe through moderation. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a few services to operate: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Vercel (hosting, plus cookieless, privacy-friendly usage analytics — aggregate page views and device/region info, with no personal data and no cross-site tracking). Music metadata, artwork, and 30-second previews come from public catalog APIs (Apple iTunes Search, Deezer, and Spotify); browsing the catalog sends standard requests to those services. These providers process data on our behalf or as independent services under their own privacy policies.
Your choices
- Edit or remove your profile info, uploads, and posts at any time.
- Turn push notifications on or off in Settings.
- Block any account to hide it from you and you from it.
- Delete your account any time in Settings → Edit profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all your ratings, reviews, lists, and comments. You can also email us below.
Children
Audessi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the date above when we do.
