After taking the year of 2024 by storm, Kendrick only went and surprise dropped a whole album to finish it 😮‍💨 This was an undeniable moment in hip hop & almost acted as a closer to the mega rap feud with Drake. Although, I’d still say it’s one of his weakest projects as it’s more about the victory lap, features, celebrating the West Coast and the win as a whole. Some amazing tracks like ‘man at the garden’ ‘reincarnated’ ‘heart pt. 6’ alongside the streaming hits such as ‘Luther’ and ‘tv off’ 🔥 a great album and very easy to go back to. GNX title track had to be left off 😅

A 50/50 split between rapping and singing, with some solid features 💪 Overall it’s a short, upbeat, and fun dance/funk project. It serves as a low-stakes yet high energy sound, in contrast to his introspective: Chromakopia, which was released 9 months prior 🔥 A great listen

This is a 9 on 10 for me. I can’t locate the album “Crybaby” to rate, however this track might be my favourite on there 🔥 Even if it doesn’t quite use the rock infused tone we’re used to throughout the album. It’s the perfect outro track for Vince here 😮‍💨
